In the book, as in any other work related to graphic design, there are several golden rules that can transform a layout to be sad extraordinary. The main idea in one of those basic rules is to stop and think before jumping with photos, designs and ornaments of documents.

1. Convey a story. "Scrapbooking is something other than sticking a bunch of pictures on a piece cardboard. A memory book is meant to provide a history and listing times in life, people document, destinations, etc. Think history is before they start working on the design has two main advantages:

First, it makes you stop your pace and then make their work more deliberately.

Secondly, it gives more character to the layout.

Just tell her story and think on how design can bring out the story they are telling. Some points to consider are: What are the elements to know the best story? How many photos are required? The space you need for your day? Etc.

2. Balance. One more a design is also important to maintain your balance. All elements must have a scale and well-defined relationship to another – Which includes the white space too. Do not overload part of its design, without balancing it on one side level. Refrain from background noise with a lot of items. Apply the Rule of Thirds – The design elements visually distinct from the design into thirds (both horizontally and vertically) and add to third (three ornaments, three labels, etc..) Soften angles with a sharp corner or around a circular element, and vice versa – Ensure soil their designs by creating visual cycle.

3. The cohesion of color. Choose the color that suits your design is another aspect of the balance. The color chosen must match the type of photos you use.

If your photos are in your black and white or sepia can go ahead and have something more to play with colors, but the balance of the color explosion with a linear design as a design grid.

If your photos are very colorful, try not to use more than 3 colors in your design. Go with a natural background color (white, kraft paper, gray, black) is usually a safe choice to build color. Try to keep your trio balanced color – not black and not all light (unless you go for a black drawing and white) – Play sound colors, tone and saturation.

Making use of the color wheel. Choose colors like complementary colors together to ensure a balanced and harmonious combination.

Respect the rules of thumb and be dazzled by the beauty and the sense of design to create.

I am 14 and I love scrapbooking. Is this weird?

I have no idea, but it's really fun as a creative outlet for me. idk and I hope that my future career will be somewhere in the design. but I do not understand is why the designs are prefabricated? because then it just remove part of all the fun! Well that's my opnion. for himself, my aunt introduced me to scrapbooking, when she was 13. (: And no, I'm not in any sport, or something like that just make albums of my friends, and family vacations and more. Oh, and I love cricket. It is super fun.:]

Cricket seen on television. Looks like fun. Scrapbooking is a good creative outlet, so why bother? This could lead to something bigger and better. I saw a woman here in town is advertising for custom scrapbooks for people. She made to pay lots of money and always busy. Many people are demanding scrapbooks after having a baby or getting married. It also has a digital camera and come to your house and take pictures for you, or use sound is provided. She charges clients $ 50 – $ 150 notebook, depending on the size and style. There also remains a bookstore here in town call Grandma. They sell thousands of stickers and decals, books, pages and all necessary accessories. They also have classes there. I saw that there were 20 women there when I went through … what really piqued my curiosity on how this hobby has become popular. Have fun, Good Luck.
